Injured cop dies
Srinagar: A Jammu and Kashmir Police constable, who was injured in a stone pelting incident, died of his injuries on Monday in a hospital in Srinagar, an official said.
"Constable Waseem Ahmad Bhat, who was injured in stone pelting incident in SHazratbal area Aug 29, succumbed to his injuries on Monday in SKIMS," a senior police officer said here.
"The wreath laying ceremony to honour the constable will be held today (Monday)."
The constable sustained a grievous head injury and was battling for life in the hospital for nearly two months before he died.
