Ramallah: UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Monday slammed Israeli settlement building in the West Bank, echoing international criticism of further moves to build on occupied Palestinian territory.

"I once again strongly condemn the continued settlement activity by Israel," he told journalists after meeting Palestinian prime minister Rami Hamdallah in Ramallah.
