SRINAGAR: The Cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here on Thursday ordered major transfers and postings in police department, involving over three dozen police officers of the rank of IGP, DIG and SSP.
Mukesh Singh, IPS, IGP, Human Rights, J&K, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Armed, Kashmir, against an available vacancy.
Sham Lal Sharma, IPS, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, CIV, PHQ, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Jagjit Kumar, IPS, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Security, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Shafqat Ali Watali, IPS, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP Armed, Jammu, against an available vacancy.
Mubarik Ahmad Ganaie, IPS, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Telecommunications, J&K, against an available vacancy.
J.P. Singh, IPS, IGP, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as IGP, Home Guards, against an available vacancy. He shall also, till further orders, hold the additional charge of the post of ADGP, Home Guards, relieving ADGP, Armed of the additional charge of the post.
