ADGP convenes meeting of State level coordination group of forces
Srinagar : ADGP Armed S M Sahai who is also the Nodal Officer for the forthcoming state assembly elections on saturday convened a meeting of State level coordination group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Paramilitary forces to discuss issues related to smooth conduct of polls across the State.
The meeting held here at Police Headquarters Peerbagh was attended by officers of J&K Police and central Paramilitary forces including CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, CISF and RPF. The officers from Jammu division also participated through the video conference. During the meeting detailed action plans on deployment of manpower of J&K Police and paramilitary forces being mobilized from outside and within the State were discussed and worked out.
The ADGP exhorted upon the officers that all arrangements required for democratic exercise of franchise in the State shall be finalized within a time bound manner. He said that all sister agencies concerned with conduct of polls shall work with perfect coordination and forge synergy to ensure free, fair and hassle free elections in the State. During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on issues of transport, communication and logistics for the manpower being mobilized for poll duty right from first phase till conclusion of the elections.
Sahai praised the efforts of officers and men of J&K Police and central paramilitary saying that they have always proved their mettle by standing to test of time. He expressed the hope that officers and men of all the forces will work effectively to facilitate conducive atmosphere for the forthcoming polls.
