Gellani calls for shutdown in Kulgam tomorrow

Srinagar, Nov 14: Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani Friday called for a shut down in Kulgam
district to protest the killing of a civilian in firing by government forces.

other civilians were wounded earlier today after forces fired on protesters who had assembled in Chenigam village after two local militants were
killed in an encounter with forces.

A Hurriyat spokesman said the people in the rest of the valley should hold demonstrations to register their protest.

Moderate Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called for a sit-in outside the UN office in Srinagar
at 2pm tomorrow.
