VC KU interacts with Officers to address problems
Srinagar :Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi on Saturday held an interactive session with all officers of the varsity to deliberate on various problems being faced in the administrative mechanism and to seek feedback on steps needed to be taken to improve administrative functioning.
During the meeting, Prof Andrabi stressed on the need to inculcate a professional approach in work and be available to one and all to address grievances.
“We are public servants before everything else and we need to commit ourselves to resolving problems of students and staff that come to us”.
He appealed the officers to start punching in their attendance and set an example for the gesture. He asked the officers to encourage quick disposal of files and implementation of single window system already announced by him.
While appreciating the role of officers in the working of the University, he suggested that they should Imbibe professionalism and set trends to public service. "Officers should lead from the front," he said.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof M Ashraf Wani while speaking on the occasion urged the officers to work towards improving the quality and efficiency of the administrative system.
“There is no finality of knowledge and it is imperative that we continue to update our knowledge regarding modern techniques of serving the public” he said.
