Another Sarpanch shot at in Shopian

Shopian, Dec 1: Less than twenty four hours after the killing of a Sarpanch in Shopian last evening,
another village head was shot at Suggan here by suspected militants on Monday evening.

Shiraz Ahmad Bhat was injured after unidentified gunmen fired at him while he was returning from his orchard in Turkiwangam area of the district.

He was evacuated to District Hospital following the attack. Bhat, who was earlier associated with ruling National Conference, had joined Peoples Democratic Party only six months back.
