Jammu and Kashmir: Army busts militant hideout in Rajouri

Jammu: Army troops on Friday busted a militant hideout in Rajouri district and recovered a cache
of arms and ammunition.

Acting on a tip off, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles troops and police personnel yesterday launched a operation at Samote belt in Rajouri
district, a defence spokesman said.

They busted a militant hideout and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including one AK
56 Rifle, one AK 56 magazine, 41 bullets of AK 56, 3 bullets of 7.62 mm SLR and 3 chinese hand
grenades from Nila in Tehsil Kotranka, District Rajouri, the spokesman said.

Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Samote has been relentlessly conducting operations in the area to curb militancy and this recovery has given qanother jolt to the nefarious designs of inimical elements in the area, he said.
